If you are looking to join our surf camp in Lombok, Indonesia, (Feb & March 2026). You should start preparing soon.

Swimming level
Lombok, Indonesia, is not a beach break. All surfers take a boat to reach the surfing point. So it's really important to know how to stay afloat and swim in deep water.
Start by practising swimming, you should be comfortably swimming 25 meters.
Get comfortable in deep water. Learn how to tread efficiently. You should be able to stay afloat without any help for 5-10 minutes.
If you want to catch bigger waves, breathwork and freediving basics will help you stay calmer under bigger waves and harsher conditions.

You must get a written note from your swimming coach/swimming academy to prove your swimming skills. If you are in Bangalore, you will have to get vetted by any of the coaches of Nisha Millet Swimming Academy.
Fitness target
Running/Jogging - You should be able to comfortably run/jog 5 km in 40 minutes.
