Not pro surfers. Just two people who got hooked
Rajeev
Rajeev found surfing in his 30s, and this “small” hobby of his became a full-time obsession. His sole purpose in life is to be able to do a cutback on a wave and he’s working hard towards it - doing surf prep daily, spending hours on the surfskate learning maneuvers and watching countless surfing videos on YouTube.
When he’s not dreaming about catching waves, he works as a fractional CMO consulting with tech startups and runs his own art Academy in Bangalore. Surf Club India is his way of finding friends who want to surf with him.

Jinal
Jinal left her job at Google to pursue her love for the ocean. She enjoys diving, freediving and has now added surfing to this growing list of water sports. Being the highly competitive person she is, surfing brought both frustration and calmness to her, and a lot of happiness.
When she’s not dreaming about being whacked by big waves, she is a fierce feminist who leads growth at Art Beat, works as an investment advisor and as a marketing consultant.
Surf Club India is her way of creating a community for women to make them feel confident and powerful in water.

What we do?
A surf club based out of….Bangalore? Really?
Well, yes.
Being away from the ocean doesn’t take away the love for the ocean. When we started this, we were skeptical as well, but we found so many folks who share this love across the country even if they’re not living next to the beach. So here we are - a community of people who want to spend more time around water. And we make it work - whether that’s through workshops, meetups, or surf trips.

What is Surf Club India?
India's first community led surf club.
Surf Club India started because we wanted to find more people like us - people who love the ocean. People who love surfing - even if they’re not surfing every day, even if they’re beginners, or even if they’ve not tried it (yet).
We’ve spent months living by the sea in places like Koh Tao (Thailand), Lombok (Indonesia), trying to catch waves, learning how to stay calm underwater, and slowly building a relationship with the ocean that we never had growing up.
Surf Club India is our way of paying that forward by making it easier, safer, fun for more people to try out. We’re building this community to grow the love of surfing in Indians - through meetups, trips and workshops.
