Surfing didn’t come early for Rajeev — but when it did, it changed everything. What started as a way to slow down from the chaos of city life soon became a deeper connection with the ocean. It wasn’t instant love; it was earned through wipeouts, small wins, and quiet moments between sets. Surfing taught him patience, humility, and how to show up differently — not just in the water, but in life.

Before the ocean pulled him in, Rajeev spent over 15 years building brands and businesses. He was the VP of Marketing at a leading Indian e-commerce company, and later transitioned into a fractional CMO role, consulting for startups across industries. He also runs his own art studio in Bangalore — blending creativity, entrepreneurship, and passion every day. Today, he brings the same drive into Surf Club India — creating experiences that are as thoughtful as they are unforgettable.

Jinal found surfing while she was chasing something bigger than a routine life. It wasn’t love at first wipeout, but the ocean kept calling her back — teaching patience, grit, and joy in ways she hadn’t expected. After spending months living in Lombok, falling in love with its people, waves, and slow mornings, surfing became more than a sport. For Jinal, it became a way to live — curious, and fully present.

Jinal worked at some of the world’s top companies, including Google, before deciding that life needed to be more than deadlines and performance reviews. She swapped conference rooms for surfboards and found herself in Lombok — falling in love with its waves, its people, and a slower, more intentional way of living. Surfing taught her resilience, humility, and the beauty of starting over. Now, she’s building a life that feels more like her — and inviting others to come experience it too.

Rajeev

Rajeev

Rajeev is the heart and soul of Surf Club India. To say he is obsessed with surfing would be an understatement - he spends almost every waking moment thinking about surfing and dreams about it when he's not awake. His goal in life is to surf across the country and make friends everywhere so he knows where the swell is good and he can head there to surf.

Before the ocean pulled him in, Rajeev spent over 15 years building brands and businesses. Marketing is his superpower and he's headed various brands as a Marketing Head and as a Fractional CMO. He's now putting those powers to use to get more people hooked to surfing. He manages all the content on social media for Surf Club India and brings his passion to work.

Surf Retreats are his way of introducing more people to the surf life and he spends obnoxious amounts of time curating the 'perfect' itinerary.

How It All Started

Hi! we're Jinal and Rajeev - two regular people who fell in love with surfing - and now live, breathe and dream only about waves.

We wanted to share this love for surfing with our friends, but we found out that getting our friends to surf with us was very very hard - some were afraid of water, some didn't know swimming, some thought it was too adventurous for them... and so on.

So we decided to just make friends with people who already surf or want to surf. And thus Surf Club India was born - just out of the need of two people to share the waves with friends.

Come live it our way — slow mornings, salty skin, new friends, and a little bit of ocean magic every single day.
